Brighton Cricket Club is seeking applications for the role of Senior Coach for the 2021/22 season and beyond.
We are seeking an enthusiastic senior coach who possesses both an inclusive and positive culture, along with a desire for ‘whole club’ success.
Our club currently fields four senior teams in the divisions A2, B1, C2 and LO4, along with 20 junior sides ranging from Under 10’s through to Under 18’s, including three girls’ junior sides. The club has continued to experience further growth in both the senior and junior ranks this season. As a result, the club is intending to expand from four senior sides in 2020/21 to five senior sides in 2021/22.
Our club recently received an upgrade to its whole Brighton facility. This included a new clubhouse, new hard wicket nets, and new turf wicket nets which will be ready for use by the start of the 2021/22 season. We intend to continue our upgrades by re-laying the turf squares on all ovals, and are proposing to build a secondary set of hard wicket nets at Brighton Primary School which is adjacent to our main oval.
As we are about to experience an influx of junior cricketers progressing up into the senior ranks, it is imperative that the coach possesses strong communication skills and be able to teach and interact with people of all ages. Other key selection criteria include:
We are open to having a non-playing coach, playing coach and/or captain coach. Remuneration will be negotiable.
